Training Biography
Dr. Loverich began training in CBT, ACT, and mindfulness at the University of Nevada, Reno in 1996. She was trained and supervised by Dr. Steve Hayes, the developer of ACT, and Dr. Alan Fruzzetti, contributing developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Loverich has received ongoing continuing education in CBT, ACT, and the mindfulness-based therapies while training masters and doctoral level clinicians in these approaches for the past 10 years. She maintains a research program that is further developing mindfulness and acceptance-based psychotherapies for emotion regulation and behaviors such as overeating and substance abuse.
